  Camden Military Academy is not perfect. Our son was there for 7th grade and yes there were a couple of fights. You have 300 boys on this campus. Guess what boys fight. There were some bullies but when we talked with the leadership the bullies were taken out. During the year our son was there we were aware of at least 3 students that were expelled. That’s 1% of the student body. Check your local school for their expulsion and suspension rates. The academics are sound your children will get a quality education for the money spent. Yes your kid will get yelled at and disciplined like marching around the parade field to work off demerits. Yes your child may come home with some new cuss words. No there is no racism there. We are white and our son is African American. Kids use the N word the staff does not and when caught the kids who use the N word get discipline. Summary: This is not a perfect school but it’s a very very good school. We found a significant difference between our son before CMA and after. We will be sending him back for 9-12. The summer school isn’t cheap but it’s a great introduction to the school.

  I am the single mother of two sons who attend Camden Military Academy. In this current culture of entitlement, division, and disrespect for authority, I was struggling to raise my boys to become respectful men of sound judgement and good moral character. Camden Military Academy is the best decision I have ever made as a parent bar none. The Academy has an arsenal of resources. A cache of manhood so to speak. It is an environment full of good male role models in close proximity. Whether it be staff or fellow cadets, all members embrace characteristics of discipline, honor, respect, and love of country. The Academy directs young men to work hard and persevere. With that comes maturity and growth the adolescent young man thrives in. My boys have embraced the Academy and its teachings of unity, solidarity, and reward for personal achievement. I have watched them grow and mature into young men of distinction. Camden has helped to change the trajectory of both my sons lives. It has been a complete joy to watch their transformation. I am forever indebted to Camden Military Academy and its staff.

• Review of "Pony Gang Equestrian Services" at Camden

  Stefanie and gang have a hobby, not a business. I reserved a two pony show for my child's bday at my house about a month or so in advance. I paid a $60 deposit and signed a contract. I had a balance due of $100 once they arrived. The drama started 2 days before the party. Stefanie contacted me via email and said there was an 80% chance of rain and she asked if we would be canceling the party. I told her there was only forecasted scattered showers with a percentage range of 15-30%. We still planned to move fwd with the party. She emailed me again the day before the party and agreed the chance of rain was less but it was still a big risk and she essentially starting preparing me for the possibility of cancelation on her end. I reiterated to her that some scattered showers could be dealt with and I still was looking fwd (as well as all the children) to her arrival tomorrow. She then emailed the morning of the party, around 930, and said now her trucks fuel pump was broken and it would need to go to the shop. She said she could come with her other truck but the trailer had been broke for 3 weeks, so her plan was to borrow or rent a trailer from a friend the day of the party. She then said her other truck would not have the capability to get a larger ball for the tongue of the soon to be borrowed trailer. What a mess!!!! It was literally nothing but excuses from Stefanie. She topped it all off with trying to make me understand she wasn't even going to make money on this party anyway since she had gas to think of as well as trailer rental. Stefanie and the Pony Gang should NOT be trusted to come to your home or business and provide a professional experience. The entire thing was so scattered and unprofessional. The icing on the cake was when she said she would refund my deposit, sent me the contract about refunds, then failed to send me a refund. I remained patient since in the contract it said she had up to 30 days to send the refund. Those 30 days have long gone and still no refund. Absolutely would be a zero star review if able.

• Review of "Fox Run Apartments" at Camden

  Dogs are allowed to poop anywhere on the property. Recently the noise of music has been waking me up around 6 o'clock a.m. plan to report it, see if management address it. In the past have asked about dogs pooping anywhere on the property but management seems not to be concerned, open your window or door for a little fresh air and all I smell is dog. Great location. Apartments are fairly nice. But the pricing is too high.
